Function

Feeds new virgin EPS beads into the mixing chamber from the upstream pre-expander or material silo. Anti-bridge cone design prevents bead bridging that would interrupt the recycled-to-virgin ratio.

Engineering Details

DN150 mm welded steel side flange with bolt-pattern compatible with pneumatic conveying duct OR auger discharge. Anti-static powder coating prevents bead clumping in dry climates. Optional load cell on inlet conveyor for gravimetric ratio control (premium accuracy plus or minus 1 percent).

Function

Feeds the regrind beads from the upstream De-duster (Stage 2) into the chamber on the opposite side from virgin material. Symmetric inlet placement ensures balanced flow into the agitator center.

Engineering Details

Mirror-image DN150 mm steel flange on the opposite chamber side. Inlet position 90 degrees offset from virgin inlet ensures two material streams meet at the agitator vortex for fast homogenization. Compatible with -2 to -5 kPa pneumatic conveying from upstream De-duster.

Function

High-aspect-ratio vertical chamber (5.5 m tall) houses a multi-blade agitator that creates a vortex flow ensuring uniform mixing of virgin and recycled beads — homogeneous output prevents density variation in downstream molded products.

Engineering Details

Welded carbon steel chamber, anti-corrosion epoxy lining. Central agitator shaft rotates 4-8 angled paddle blades at 60-100 rpm (slow speed prevents bead breakage). Achieves homogeneous mix in 3-5 minutes per batch. Internal baffle plates eliminate dead zones. Inspection window for visual mix verification.

Function

Heavy-duty drive shaft transfers torque from the top-mounted motor + reducer down to the agitator blades through a heavy-duty bearing system. Twin-bearing support ensures shaft alignment over 5+ meters of vertical span.

Engineering Details

Ø80-100 mm precision-machined alloy steel shaft (42CrMo, quenched + tempered HRC 28-32). Twin SKF or NSK spherical roller bearings (sealed for life, grease-lubricated) absorb radial + thrust loads. Mechanical seal at top prevents bead leakage. Bearing housing cast steel with replaceable wear sleeves.

Function

High-efficiency motor + variable-frequency drive enable programmable mix ratio (0-100 percent virgin to recycled blend) — operator sets the recipe via HMI and the PLC controls inlet feeders accordingly for the entire production run.

YE3 IE3 motor 4.35 kW (5.8 HP), 380V / 50Hz / IP55, F-class insulation. ABB or Schneider VFD with sensorless vector control adjusts agitator speed 30-120 rpm. Siemens S7-1200 PLC + 7-inch Weintek HMI for ratio recipes. Ethernet/IP integration with upstream De-duster and downstream molding line. Energy-efficient operation (lowest kW per ton processed in the recycle line).

Function

Bottom discharge outlet releases the homogeneously mixed virgin+recycled bead stream to the downstream molding line (block molding or shape molding). Sealed flange design maintains the mix integrity all the way to the molding silo.

Engineering Details

Cast steel DN150 mm (200 mm OD) flange with M10 grade 8.8 bolts and EPDM gasket airtight seal. Direct-mount to rotary airlock valve (sold separately) for pneumatic conveyor connection to downstream silo. Output throughput 30-50 m3/hour (highest in the SPH recycle line — pure mixing duty). Discharge sensor triggers low-level alarm to prevent dry-run.
