Function

Receives pre-expanded EPS beads from the SPJY pre-expander discharge. Conical bottom design ensures complete bead flow without bridging. Each fabric silo holds 5-30 m3 (configurable) and provides 4-12 hours aging time for moisture release + pressure equalization.

Engineering Details

Polyester or polypropylene breathable filter fabric (300-500 g/m2) supported by Q235B steel grid frame (40x40 mm). Top inlet flange DN150-200 mm. Conical hopper bottom (60-degree slope) with DN100-150 mm discharge flange + slide-gate valve. Volume options: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 m3 per silo. Modular design — operator can add silos as production scales.

Function

Stainless-steel pneumatic conveying network transfers EPS beads between the pre-expander and multiple aging silos. Separate air circulation duct maintains stable airflow inside the storage system for uniform bead drying + temperature equalization across all silos.

Engineering Details

Ø100-150 mm stainless steel 304 piping with welded elbows (long-radius bend, R/D ≥ 1.5) to minimize bead damage. Distribution diverter valves route beads to selected silo via PLC. Air circulation operates at -2 to -5 kPa (negative pressure) — beads do not escape, dust is contained. Removable cleanouts at every elbow for blockage clearance.

Modular steel frame (RAL 5005 industrial blue) houses 3 to 10+ fabric-walled silos in a single space-efficient footprint. Breathable wall fabric improves air circulation + bead conditioning compared to sealed metal silos — accelerates the aging process by 20-30 percent.

Engineering Details

Welded carbon steel column-and-beam frame (50x50x3 mm hollow sections) with cross-bracing for seismic stability. Powder-coated RAL 5005 industrial blue. Walking platform + access ladder + handrail per OSHA 1910.23. Foundation: M16 grade 8.8 anchor bolts on concrete. Modular bays: 1m x 1m, 1m x 2m, 2m x 2m grid for silo placement flexibility.

Function

High-efficiency centrifugal blower generates the negative pressure that drives pneumatic conveying of EPS beads throughout the silo system. Continuous operation with low energy consumption per ton conveyed.

Engineering Details

Cast aluminum centrifugal impeller, backward-curved blades for high static pressure efficiency. Direct-coupled to YE3 IE3 motor 5.5-15 kW depending on system scale. Air volume 2000-10000 m3/hour at static pressure 3000-6000 Pa. SKF or NSK bearings. Anti-vibration mount on welded steel base. Inlet silencer reduces noise to ≤80 dB at 1 meter.

Function

PLC automatic control orchestrates the full silo system — feeding routing, aging timers per silo, discharge to molding line, and overflow/underflow alarms. Operator sets recipe via HMI; the system handles the rest with ISO 9001-compliant audit trail.

Engineering Details

Siemens S7-1200 PLC + 10-inch Weintek HMI touch screen with multi-language interface (EN/ES/CN/RU). Per-silo aging timer (0-24 hours adjustable). Ultrasonic level sensors in each silo report fill % to PLC. Recipe library 50+ slots for bead grade / aging time / target density combinations. Status indicators: green (run) / red (fault) / yellow (warning). Ethernet/IP integration with upstream pre-expander + downstream block molder.
