Automatic block feeding with smooth, continuous block loading. Powered rollers convey raw EPS blocks (6m or 7.5m long, up to 1.2m wide, 1m thick) from the molding line OR from block stockpile into the vertical cutting unit. Block Tilter standard equipment rotates blocks for multi-orientation cutting.

Engineering Details

Heavy-duty powered steel rollers (DN89 mm diameter, 3 mm wall) with 1.5-2.2 kW geared motor drive. Block Tilter standard (hydraulic 90 degree rotation). Photoelectric sensor for block presence + thickness measurement. Galvanized frame with safety guard rails. Configurable for 6m (SPQ6000B) or 7.5m (SPQ7000B) block length.

High-strength cutting frame with vertical cutting wires for precise and smooth slicing. The heart of the line — 80 horizontal + 6 vertical + 15 cross-cutting wires deliver complete block-to-sheet conversion in a single pass.

CHINAEPS PATENTED HIGH-PRECISION WIRE SETTING SYSTEM — sets all 80 horizontal wires in 2 minutes vs 30-60 minutes on auto-setting competitors (who still require manual thickness re-check after wire setting). Wire pitch programmable via HMI. Hot-wire 0.4-0.8 mm Ni-Cr alloy with PID current control 8 A/channel. Twin-spring tension self-corrects wire stretch.

High strength frame with vertical setting wire for accurate cuts in tighter dimensions. CHINAEPS VIBRATION CUTTING SYSTEM increases cutting speed by 30 percent on both horizontal and vertical cuts — eliminates the speed bottleneck that limits competitor lines.

Engineering Details

Vibration motor 0.75-1.5 kW oscillates the wire-holder at 30-50 Hz reducing apparent foam resistance — equivalent to operating at +30% cutting speed without higher wire temperature. Standard on both SPQ6000B and SPQ7000B (not optional). Tested at 0.8-1.5 m/min sustained on dense FR-graphite EPS (35 kg/m3).

Linear guide rails (HIWIN or PMI Taiwan) with C0-grade precision (plus/minus 0.05 mm straightness over 6 m). Servo-positioned wire-setting discs (3 stations on SPQ6000B / 4 on SPQ7000B) automate the 80-wire array setup. Wire breakage detection via tension sensors — auto-pauses line and signals operator for single-wire replacement.

Product FAQ

The questions buyers ask most often before placing an order.

Why can't I just use standard SPQ-B for graphite-EPS?
Three reasons. (1) ATEX compliance — graphite dust is combustible per zone-22 classification, standard cutters fail insurance audit. (2) Wire wear — graphite particles abrade standard 0.35mm wires causing breakage every 3-5 hours; SPQ-FR's 0.5-0.8mm wires last 200+ hours. (3) Dust load — standard cutters lack HEPA extraction, dust accumulates in cabinet causing fire risk.
Can SPQ-FR also cut standard (white) EPS?
Yes — backward compatible with standard EPS (12-35 kg/m³). The thicker wires and higher heating just consume slightly more power on standard EPS. Most premium factories run SPQ-FR exclusively to standardize their cutting line.
What is the ATEX certification scope?
ATEX zone-22 covers the entire cutting cell (cutting frame + dust extraction + electrical cabinet) per EN 60079-31 and EN 1127-1. Certification ships with machine. Customer's factory environment also needs to be ATEX-zoned if processing graphite — we provide site survey checklist.
What HEPA filter spec, and replacement frequency?
HEPA H13 (99.95% efficiency at 0.3 micron) — captures graphite dust safely. Filter replacement every 6-12 months depending on graphite load. Spare filter kit ships with machine.
Does the slower cutting speed (0.5-1.2 m/min vs 0.6-2 on SPQ-B) hurt throughput?
Effective throughput is comparable because graphite-EPS sells at 1.5-2× the price of standard EPS — slower cut speed is offset by higher margin per sheet. Most SPQ-FR operators run 15-20 t/day vs 25 t/day on SPQ-B but make 2-3× the revenue.
