Function

Vertically oriented mold chamber for top-load + bottom-discharge layout. Produces tall blocks 2,000-6,000mm in vertical orientation — designed for insulation-board / wall-panel cutting lines downstream.

Engineering Details

Steam-contact parts: Type 20G boiler-grade rigid steel (welded, pressure-vessel grade). Inner walls: 0.3mm 304 stainless steel cuniform / wedge plates. External body: Rock wool insulation 50-100mm + galvanized exterior. TUV / Bureau Veritas pressure-vessel certified.

Function

Stores high-pressure steam — buffer between boiler and vertical mold chamber. Higher pressure required vs horizontal to overcome gravity in vertical-bottom-up heating.

Engineering Details

AISI 304 stainless steel pressure vessel. Working steam pressure 0.6-0.8 MPa (vs horizontal 0.6 MPa due to vertical orientation). Max safe 2 bar with relief valve. Gemu-Germany or Burkert-Germany pressure-reducing valve. Insulated to minimize heat loss.

3. Air Receiver Tank (Negative-Pressure Feeding, Ø280mm Hydraulic Injector)

Function

Compressed air storage powering pneumatic actuators + the negative-pressure feeding system. 15 kW suction blower pulls beads from top hopper down through 10 m³ silo into single Ø280mm hydraulic injector.

Engineering Details

Vertical pressure vessel with safety relief + drain + pressure gauge. Air pressure 0.3-0.6 MPa / consumption 1 m³ per cycle. 10 m³ filling silo (galvanized pipe + nylon, with level controller). 15 kW negative-pressure suction blower with insulated cabin. Festo-Germany pneumatic distribution.

4. Vacuum System (Twin-Tank 20 m³ Total, 2 × Nash 15 kW Pumps)

Function

High-capacity vacuum for fast cooling of tall vertical blocks — the single biggest factor enabling 5 min cycles for 6m blocks (vs 15+ min air-cool-only).

Engineering Details

Twin-tank design: 5 m³ condenser tank (water spraying + sieving units) + 15 m³ main vacuum tank. 2 × Nash water-ring vacuum pumps 15 kW each (China-made, Becker / Edwards-class performance). Reaches 0.06 MPa absolute in 30-60 seconds. Water consumption 0.4 m³/day.

Function

PLC control with TWICE CROSS-HEATING program preset: steam enters 2 large mold sides + exits 4 small sides on 1st cycle, reverses on 2nd. Eliminates "core unfused" defect in tall blocks.

Engineering Details

Mitsubishi PLC + touch screen (Siemens S7-1200 optional upgrade). 99-recipe library. Foam pressure switch + measuring sensor monitor fusion quality real-time. Triple safety: computer supervision + real-time pressure feedback + hardware safety valve. Front door + 2 hydraulic ejectors + discharge trolley with electronic weighing for QC. 380V / 50Hz / 3-phase.

SPB-LZ uses vertical mold cavity oriented top-to-bottom (top-load / bottom-discharge). Beads gravity-fill cavity from top hopper. CHINAEPS PATENTED TWICE CROSS-HEATING: steam enters 2 large mold sides + exits 4 small sides on first cycle, then REVERSES direction on second cycle — eliminates the 'core unfused' defect that plagues single-direction competitors on tall 6 m blocks. Finished block ejected from bottom onto conveyor.

Vertical vs horizontal block molder — which should we buy?
Buy SPB-LZ vertical if you make wall-panel insulation, ICF blocks, or 6-meter-long blocks for building facade. The 30-40% smaller footprint vs horizontal BM-1800 pays back in 6-12 months on industrial land alone. Buy SPB-S horizontal if you make fish boxes, cooler boxes, or smaller packaging products (1.2-1.8 m blocks) — horizontal CAPEX is 25-30% lower and maintenance is easier. Many of our customers run BOTH machines side-by-side.
How tall does our factory ceiling need to be to install SPB-LZ?
SPB-LZ vertical configuration requires 7-9 meters of clear ceiling height (machine itself + maintenance access on top). If your factory ceiling is only 4-5 m (typical industrial standard), the horizontal SPB-S series fits and produces equivalent throughput per square meter. We provide foundation layout drawings + crane access requirements at quote stage.
Does the Twice Cross-Heating patent apply to BOTH cycles automatically?
Yes. The Mitsubishi PLC program is preset with the cross-heating sequence — operator only sets density target and product type, machine handles direction reversal automatically. You can also create custom recipes via touch screen for non-standard densities. The foam pressure switch monitors fusion in real-time and aborts the cycle if heating is uneven (prevents producing defective tall blocks).

Up to 6,000 × 1,260 × 3,000 mm (LxWxH). Larger blocks need custom quote.
Vertical vs horizontal — which to choose?
Vertical (SPB-LZ) for wall-panel/ICF production needing tall blocks. Horizontal (SPB-WZ) for standard insulation board production at lower height. Most factories run one of each.
