Why is graphite EPS grey?

Graphite particles infused into the EPS bead absorb infrared radiation that would otherwise pass through transparent white EPS — improves thermal performance. Color is grey/dark instead of white.

Requires ATEX-rated production line?

Yes — graphite EPS dust is combustible per ATEX zone-22 classification. Production line needs SPQ-FR cutting + ATEX-rated dust extraction.

Compatible with EIFS / ETICS systems?

Yes — most premium ETICS systems (Sto, Knauf, Caparol) approve graphite EPS as substrate. Check specific system manufacturer for compatibility.
