Frequently Asked Questions

Why higher density than fish box?
Decorative trim is painted + handled by installers. Lower density crushes; paint pulls off. 20-35 kg/m³ density gives the right rigidity + paint adhesion. Fish box (16-22 kg/m³) is too soft for this use.
How many design SKUs can I produce?
5-12 SKUs per day per machine via quick mold change (30-45 min). Mold library typically 20-40 designs. Most decorative trim factories run 3-5 popular designs daily.
Why is the cycle slower (60-120s) vs fish box (35-50s)?
Surface ornament + embossing detail need slow steam + slow cool to avoid distortion. Fast cycle = shallow ornament + surface bubbles. Slow cycle = crisp design ready for paint.
Does the GL-1200 coater handle any paint type?
Standard water-based + solvent-based acrylic. Specialty (UV-cured, metallic) requires extra UV / IR drying tunnel. Most customers use standard acrylic for European-style classic finish.
What aging time do I need?
12-36 hours, longer than fish box (6-24h) because surface needs to fully equalize for paint absorption + embossing detail stability.
Can I run cornice + column on the same machine?
Yes via mold change. Cornice mold (50mm × 2m) → swap → column mold (200mm × 2.5m) takes 30-45 min. Recipe library in PLC loads correct steam + cycle for each design.
