Working Principle

SPQ-TR uses a single tensioned hot-wire that traces the profile path defined by the HMI recipe. Operator mounts the EPS workpiece, selects profile from library (or imports DXF), starts cycle. Machine cuts the profile contour while wire stays tensioned and at controlled temperature.

No — SPQ-TR is 2-axis profile cutting only (extrudes one 2D shape along the workpiece length). For true 3D shapes (Roman column with carved details, themed letters with depth), you need SPQ-CNC.
What DXF format support, and which CAD tools work?
Standard DXF R12-R2018. Tested with AutoCAD, FreeCAD, LibreCAD, Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator (with DXF export). Vector-only — bitmap import not supported.
Wire change frequency?
0.3-0.5mm nichrome wires last 200-400 cutting hours. Replacement is 5-minute job with included tool. Spare wire spool included in shipping.
